The current design has served us well for the past years but a new release is a perfect opportunity to apply a new coat of paint and try out a new look. We&#39;d love to involve the community in this process and are looking for contributions!</p>\n<p>This competition will be purely design-focused, no code required. Be creative and express your ideas for what the Preact docs should look like for the next few years.</p>\n\n\t\t\t\t<h2 id=\"prizes\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<a class=\"fragment-link\" href=\"#prizes\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<svg width=\"16\" height=\"16\" viewBox=\"0 0 24 24\" aria-label=\"Link to: Prizes (#prizes)\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<use href=\"#link\" ></use>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t</svg>\n\t\t\t\t\t</a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<span>Prizes</span>\n\t\t\t\t</h2><p>To thank and compensate the best designs, we will giving out some prizes through our <a href=\"https://opencollective.com/preact\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Open Collective</a>:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>First place: $4000 USD &amp; will likely be implemented as the new design for the Preact website</li>\n<li>Second place: $2500 USD</li>\n<li>Third place: $1500 USD</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Four extra designs that we like and are particularly creative will receive $500 each.</p>\n\n\t\t\t\t<h2 id=\"guidelines\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<a class=\"fragment-link\" href=\"#guidelines\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<svg width=\"16\" height=\"16\" viewBox=\"0 0 24 24\" aria-label=\"Link to: Guidelines (#guidelines)\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<use href=\"#link\" ></use>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t</svg>\n\t\t\t\t\t</a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<span>Guidelines</span>\n\t\t\t\t</h2><ul>\n<li><p>Your designs should be full-page interactive views of the Preact website, including the home page, a documentation page, and any other pages you feel are relevant.</p>\n<ul>\n<li>The copy on the home page is up to you -- write about what makes Preact special to you and what you think others should know about it.</li>\n<li>For any docs pages, feel free to copy existing text as it will likely stay the same.</li>\n<li>These designs should be both desktop &amp; mobile views.</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><p>Our branding (logo &amp; primary color) will remain the same so please keep them in mind and integrate them into your designs.</p>\n<ul>\n<li>You can find our logos <a href=\"https://preactjs.com/branding\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here</a>.</li>\n<li>You can find our brand hex colors <a href=\"https://github.com/preactjs/preact-www/blob/master/src/style/variables.css\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here</a>. Besides the Preact purple, other colors are completely up to you.</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><p>Your designs should be web-hosted. We unfortunately won&#39;t be able to download and/or run projects locally so please make sure your work is accessible via a public URL.</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Figma, CodePen, and GitHub Pages are all good options for hosting your designs.</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><p>Don&#39;t feel tied to existing navigation or layout patterns, it&#39;s all up to be rethought and redesigned.</p>\n</li>\n<li><p>As with any site, please make sure your designs are accessible and inclusive. Pick your best idea to send us.</p>\n</li>\n<li><p>You agree to allow us to use your design and implement it on the Preact website. You will be credited for your design.</p>\n</li>\n<li><p>Please refrain from using AI. We&#39;re looking to celebrate human creativity and design, obvious AI submissions will be disqualified.</p>\n</li>\n<li><p>The deadline for submissions is October 23, 2026.
